Hypatia (born c. 350–370; died 415) was a philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician, who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, then part of the Eastern Roman Empire. And today, as members of Hamosad #1657, we strive to spread the STEM values among the young girls by helping them to meet with women engineers, girls in STEM programs, FIRST alumnae… We believe that finding the right role model during your journey to achieve your goals is the most important step; therefore, young girls, who are the engineers and leaders of the future, are able to ask their personal questions to an experienced woman, read the real-life riences and success stories.

We believe that it is our responsibility to decrease gender inequality in the field of engineering and STEM as the members of FIRST. Our aim is to increase the confidence level of young girls about STEM and show that they can achieve everything as long as they want and believe.
